Squirreldom
IMPORTANT NOTE: THE GAME IS CURRENTLY IN ITS PROTOTYPE STATE.
The game will receive updates in the future to add functionality and polish. The current version mostly servers as a tech demo.
SQUIRRELDOM is a resource management and decision-making game, where the player takes on the role of a Squirrel King in a medieval fantasy kingdom. The goal is to grow your kingdom, and quite literally, grow your Tree, while managing three core resources: Acorns (currency), Squirrels (population), and Loyalty.
Your primary objective is to help your kingdom thrive by managing resources efficiently. At the beginning of each day in the 5-day period, you will gain a set amount of Acorns, with bonuses depending on the amount of Squirrels in your kingdom and their Loyalty. Over the course of 5 in-game days, you will have to make key choices when faced with your kingdom’s requests and other unexpected events. You must balance risk and reward, as you might be confronted with decisions with great consequences, some potentially leading to the collapse of your kingdom.
The Tree Height is calculated at the end of each day depending on the amount of Squirrels in your kingdom and your leftover acorns. The game will end after the final day, or if you reach either 0 Loyalty or 0 Squirrels.
How far will you grow your SQUIRRELDOM?
